1. The Blue Genie Art Bazaar
The Blue Genie Art Bazaar has thousands of works varying from serious artwork to fun, kitschy pieces. Shopping in the Bazaar is an excellent way to purchase holiday presents in a hassle-free environment, all while supporting local artists.
All items in the bazaar are handmade by regional and local artists that are chosen through a rigorous jury procedure. The Bazaar features the work of over 200 artists offering a vast array of imaginative and beautiful gifts. You can expect to find prints, photography, paintings, sculptures, jewelry, clothes, accessories, glassworks, ceramics, and presents you cannot find anywhere else.
Whether your budget is small or big, you’ll find something for yourself, for your friend, or relative.
Planning To Attend The Blue Genie Art Bazaar
The bazaar returns annually for all of Austin to see from November 22nd until December 24th, 2019.
Hours: 10:00 a.m. — 10:00 p.m. daily (10 a.m. — 6 p.m. on Dec. 24)
Location: 6100 Airport Blvd. — Starting Airport Blvd., take a turn to the west over Denson Rd., then move south toward Dillard Circle. The entryway to the building faces Dillard Circle.
Price: FREE admission & parking
Parking & Public Transit: Parking is free in the lot and near Dillard Circle. Motorcycle parking is available on site.
The Bazaar can be available through CapMetro bus and MetroRail, see capmetro.org for schedules and routes.
Access: ADA designated parking is available at the lot. The building is wheelchair accessible, but please be advised that the aisles could be crowded during high traffic times.
Kids & Strollers: The Bazaar is a fun and family-friendly! Strollers are allowed, but please remember that the aisles could be crowded during high traffic times. There is a kid-friendly activity area available at no cost. Young kids must be managed by an adult at all times.
Animals: Service animals, needed by a customer due to a disability, are permitted inside the Bazaar. We cordially ask that all other pets stay at home.
2. Christmas Affair 2019
A Christmas Affair is a holiday marketplace that attracts over 25,000 patrons and hosts over 200 merchants from throughout the nation. The theme of this year, “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” honors holidays spent with family members and captures the joy of The Junior League of Austin‘s first Christmas in its new home, The Community Impact Center. The 2019 A Christmas Affair is between November 20-24th and is held at Palmer Events Center.
The Junior League of Austin uses the capital raised at A Christmas Affair to give necessary funding and volunteer hours to performances such as Coats for Kids, FIT-Food In Tummies, and more than 30 local community non-profits.

Market tickets are $15 per individual per day. Event tickets are available now for buying!
Besides the trendy holiday gift market, we ask you to improve your “A Christmas Affair” experience by visiting one or more of our elite parties! All parties require another ticket, and costs vary depending on the function. Parties are comfortably placed at Palmer Events Center and cover entry into the market. Three High-resolution digital images as selected by the customer, downloaded by the customer via code/link sticker given during a client session+ one 4×6 photograph published on-site. Sit back, unwind, and have a meal In the Hometown Food Court. Each ticket covers an entree and water out of one of three meals trucks situated on the west outside terrace (RedFin Seafood Kitchen, Bohemian Barbecue, The Peached Tortilla). Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are available.

When will the doors open?
A Christmas Affair opens with its yearly Opening Night Party on Wednesday, November 20th, at 7pm. The market will open to the general public on November 21st, Thursday at 12pm. The doors to Palmer Events Center will open at the first event starting time, despite weather conditions. We do provide a coat check for $3/item.
Are carts, wagons, or strollers, allowed in A Christmas Affair?
Due to capacity and space limits at Palmer Events Center, strollers, luggage, and carts aren’t allowed.
Is there someplace we can store shopping bags and other things?
Yes! You may check your coat, bags, and other items with a coat check. In addition, we’re happy to introduce two new solutions to enhance your shopping experience: Santa’s Sleigh Delivery and Elf Assistance!
Can you let re-entry into A Christmas Affair?
Same-day re-entry is permitted. Upon entry, you will be given a market day wristband enabling you to re-enter through market times that day. If you want to return to the market another day, you’ll have to buy another market day ticket.
